Orientations – Every member is entitled to one free orientation. It is recommended you redeem your orientation when you first join the gym so you can understand the equipment and workout safely. It is a 30 minute session which mostly covers the cardio and Precore® rooms, but can be adapted to your needs. A $15 fee is charged if it is not your first orientation. If you are a member ages 12-14 you are required to have an orientation before you use the cardio or Precore® rooms.
Group Exercise – Here at the Wendell P. Clark YMCA we offer a wide variety of group exercises free for our members. You’ll find something for everyone from gentle Aquaerobic and Yoga classes to high energy HIIT and Les Mills Body Pump Classes . Our certified and trained staff will ensure that you get the best workout no matter your fitness level. Members 12-14 may attend classes with adult supervision. You can see our entire offering in our Program Guide. Class offerings will vary throught the year.

Barre & Stretching
This class is a perfect mix of ballet, yoga and pilates. Get longer, leaner and more toned legs, arms and abs while training with this new class. With use of a barre or chair we can focus on isometric strength training and contracting smaller movements to work specific muscle areas, combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. This class incorporates light handheld weights to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as mats for targeted core work.
Core and More
This class is for all levels that focuses on core, abdominals, glutes, lower back, hips and shoulders. This class is designed to build core muscles, improve posture and increase flexibility. Many modifications to make this class yours.
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stinging postures together so that you move from one to another, seemlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as "flow" yoga.
Yin Yang Yoga
For balancing energy, flexibility and strength. Yin Yanf Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice-bringing together the benefits of passively holding yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures.
Zumba Plus Toning (45 MIN)
Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training mixing between fast and slow rhythms while also incorporating resistance training. Get ready to get your heart pumping and get your dancing shoes on for this fun upbeat class! Modifiable and for all levels of fitness.

Tai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training, its health benfits and meditation. For our first fall session we will be introducing easy 8 form designed for older adults or individuals with mobility challenges or physical.
This is a great class for those that are looking to be in the water. This class blends Zumba philosophy with water resistance. This natural resistance makes stepping a challenge which leads to toned muscles and low impact on joints! Fun music & great for all ages.
Want to try an aqua class? Rehabbing from an injury and want to gain stability and range of muscle this class is for you! The class is a low-level low impact class with emphasis on range of motion, stretching and core building. This class involves cross country skiing movements, ladder training and will include a range of motion arm and shoulder workout. The class will end with core and a final stretch.
Deep Water Aqua
Participants combine cardiovascular work, deep water running, jogging, bicycling and cross-country skiing movements. Class focuses on muscular strength motions that work the body's major muscle groups as well as motions that work the core and balance.
This class is great for those people that are looking for high repetitions and low weight loads. This is a super customizable class; you can add as much or as little weight to the barbell as you feel comfortable and it is extremely effective. It helps shape, tone and strengthen your whole body. In a one-hour class you can hit up to 800 repetitions.
This express format of BodyPump is an intense cardio boost to the normal 55 minute offered class. This format includes complex movements and quick transtions. Great for on the run or wanting a challenge!
This class is a mix of yoga, tai chi and pilates. This program builds flexibity and strength letting you leave the studio feeling calm and centered. This class incorporates different stretching, moves and poses to bring a flow of harmony and balance. This is great for people looking for yoga, an active rest day, or ones that want a holistic exercise added to their routine.
High energy martial arts inspired workout, non-contact. High cardio great for increasing endurance and high fat oxidation. This provides you a full body workout and cardio all in one. This is a no equipment workout. Recommended that you try out the first few tracks and ease into a full class.
Les Mills Tone
This workout is great for all and combines a little bit of everything, core work, cardio and strength training. This workout works the whole body and has many variations to make you comfortable. This workout elevates the heart rate while burning those muscles and improving energy levels.
This class is for everyone. It helps sculpt areas of the body while toning and strengthening even those difficult areas. With high reps and with alternative weight this class is great for those looking for a change up in their workout routine.
This toning class includes cardio bursts and elevates the heart rate. This burns claories and gets your blood pumping. Be ready to feel energized after this class.
Upper Cut & Core
This class is ideal for an individual that is interested in toning and blasting upper bodyand core areas. With high reps and customizable weights, it's a perfect way to toning your upper body and core!
This hight intensity interval training class is great for burning calories, gaining strength and improving performance. This high energy class is great for toning and has a great soundtrack. This class will get you up and moving toward a stronger and more toned physique.
Rise and Grind
This class is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind before you start your busy day! All levels.
Want a group exercise setting with a little more flexibility...join us for circuit training. Circuit training is when you alternate between several exercises (usually 5-10) that target different muscle groups, moving from lower to upper body, core exercise and cardio bursts. This workout is perfect for those wanting to push and self-motivate! Once you finish the first circuit repeat until you complete that one hour!
